Whats the role

Were looking for a manager to join our Compliance team supporting the Corporate & Institutional Bank (CIB) and Global Transaction Services (GTS) business.

This is a full-time role based in Sydney where youll provide second line compliance support to a key part of Westpacs Institutional Bank. GTS helps our commercial corporate institutional and government clients manage payments cash flow and working capital and youll help ensure we do that in a compliant and responsible way.

Youll also play a key role in advising on regulatory change emerging risks and supporting incident management and thematic reviews.

This is a permanent opportunity based in Sydney.

What do I need

  • A bachelors degree and relevant experience in banking financial services or within a regulator legal or professional services firm.
  • Solid understanding of Australias financial services regulatory landscape including key legislation and industry codes.
  • Proven ability to build and manage relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulatory information and present it clearly.
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences.
  • Confident interpersonal skills and the ability to influence compliance behaviours across all levels of the organisation.
