Development of listening and reading skills by introducing students to inferences and patterns of organization in more authentic speaking and writing revision of various skills and activities such as: dialogues and role-plays construction of simple and compound sentences and composition of short paragraphs.

Masters degree in second language teaching TESL or related discipline. Two years of experience teaching ESL at the college/university level. Previous experience teaching this course or an equivalent ESL course. Experience with team-teaching. TESL Certification or equivalent.

  • This course is offered exclusively on the University of Ottawa campus and requires in-person instruction.
  • Professors teaching the same section mutually agree upon teaching circumstances of limited sections on offer and/or conflicting schedules among professors the unit reserves the right to select professor teaching days for a given section.
