The Patient Liaison is available to assist patients and their families or caregivers with non-medical questions or concerns during their outpatient visit. S/he assists patients and their family members with various concerns that relate to their overall experience.
1. Meets and greets each patient/family as they arrive in the department waiting room.
2. Directs or escorts patients to the appropriate area.
3. Recognizes patients needing immediate attention and notifies a health care professional.
4. Assists patient out of cars as necessary.
5. Transports patients in a safe comfortable manner.
6. Communicates with the Nursing Administrator or designee and triage nurse on any unusual situations or changes.
7. Assists in maintaining visitor control in assigned areas.
8. Other related duties as assigned
H.S Diploma or GED (Associates degree preferred)
Previous experience in a hospitality/service industry preferred
