Were seeking a Senior Engineer who brings deep expertise in modern Android development and a passion for building scalable user-focused systems. Youll work across our Android app and backend services developing features that directly impact millions of users. From Kotlin Multiplatform to microservices integrations youll be a key contributor to both the mobile experience and the platform behind it.

What are you expected to do

Job Function 1: Design and Development

• Design build and maintain features across our Android application and supporting backend services.
• Work with Kotlin Multiplatform Jetpack Compose and clean architecture patterns to deliver seamless performant experiences.
  
  

Job Function 2: Collaboration and Delivery

• Partner closely with product and design teams to deliver user experiences that scale effectively.
• Collaborate with other engineers across mobile backend and platform teams to ensure smooth integration and high-quality releases.
  
  

Job Function 3: Technical Excellence and Mentorship

• Contribute to architectural decisions and help evolve our engineering practices in testing observability and CI/CD automation.
• Mentor other engineers guiding best practices in Kotlin Compose and scalable mobile architectures.
  

Job Function 4: System Modernisation and Reliability

• Support migration from legacy systems to modern patterns while maintaining stability and reliability.
• Build and maintain integrations with our Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) APIs and microservices ecosystem.
  
  

Technologies youll work with: Kotlin Jetpack Compose Coroutines Dagger/Hilt Kotlin Multiplatform REST APIs and modern Android tooling.

Youll be a great fit if:

• You have 5 years of software engineering experience with strong computer science fundamentals.
• You have deep expertise in Kotlin and modern Android development (Jetpack Compose MVVM Clean Architecture).
• You are experienced in building and consuming REST APIs and integrating backend services.
• You have strong knowledge of databases caching testing strategies and CI/CD pipelines.
• You are comfortable working with observability tools (monitoring logging distributed tracing).
• You understand multi-module Android architecture and dependency injection patterns.
• You communicate effectively and thrive in distributed team environments.
• You are comfortable working across both mobile and backend technologies.
• You have experience with Kotlin Multiplatform or other cross-platform approaches.
• You have a professional proficiency in English
  
  

We will be absolutely thrilled if you also have the following:

• You have experience with Ruby on Rails microservices or backend service development.
• You have exposure to iOS development React or other frontend technologies.
• You have worked with infrastructure as code containerisation or cloud platforms such as AWS.
• You bring experience from the marketplace e-commerce or other high-scale consumer applications.

Please note: This role is in a hybrid set-up with 1 day/week in the office; therefore we require candidates to be based locally in Hanoi. This is to support occasional onsite activities such as team events client meetings or equipment handover. Additionally local residency is necessary for compliance with Vietnam labor laws and employment regulations.
