Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Provides leadership and supervision of the Plant Accountants.
- Fosters positive environment to promote teamwork and professional development.
- Oversees costing processesfor all product lines ensuring accurate calculation of product standard cost and transfer prices.
- Reviews and monitors inventories making sure valued at Lower of Cost and Market.
- Records provision for excess and obsolescence as needed.
- Manages fixed assets ledgers ensuring transactions related to acquisitions disposals and transfers are fully documented and recorded in a timely manner.
- Supervises periodic physical inventory and count of fixed assets and updates records based on actual count.
- Coordinates month-end close process for all the product lines including preparation of adjusting journal entries accruals and account reconciliations.
- Provides analysis of sales cost sales and variances to budget forecast and standard cost.
- Prepares monthly Financial and Corporate review packages.
- Ensures accurate and timely review of financial packages and submission trial balances to HFM.
- PEZA activity/product registration and compliance.
- PSA Surveys and others.
- Prepares monthly quarterly and annual BIR tax returns including registration compliance.
- Reviews and reconciles SSS/HDMF/PHIC premium and loan payments and remittances.
- Submits Fiscal Year-end trial balance needed for the preparation of annual audited financial statements on time.
- Provides support to the creation of Budget & 5YP.
- Works closely with Finance Manager for the creation of forecasts by providing trend analysis of historical costs.
Education & Experience
Graduate of a bachelors degree in Accountancy Finance or equivalent;
Certified Public Accountant (preferred)
At least 5-year work experience in related field is required;
Skills
Oracle SAP and ERP experience a plus
Highly proficient in MS Office applications
Comprehensive background in all facets of accounting
The ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with a variety of individuals
A team mindset and the drive to participate in achieving the entitys goals and objectives
Skilled in building and maintaining positive working relationships
Experience with a manufacturing environment
