Attendance and Family Support Officer
Salary:

As the Attendance and Family Support Officer youll play a vital role in improving school attendance and wellbeing by building trusted relationships with families working closely with teachers therapists and safeguarding leads. What Were Looking For
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in a related field (e.g. Health and Social Care Education Childcare).
- Safeguarding training and strong knowledge of child protection procedures.
- Previous experience in an education setting ideally within a special school environment.
- Proven ability to work with children with autism and their families in a supportive capacity.
- Experience of multi-agency collaboration and partnership working.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to conduct home visits when required.

Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage daily pupil attendance ensuring accurate records are maintained.
- Liaise with families local authorities and external partners to address attendance concerns.
- Develop and implement attendance action plans and early interventions.
- Act as a first point of contact for families needing additional support offering guidance and signposting where appropriate.
- Conduct home visits where necessary to strengthen engagement and understanding.
- Support the schools safeguarding lead by recognising and reporting concerns in line with procedures.
- Work collaboratively with teachers therapists and wider support teams to promote pupil wellbeing and consistent attendance.
