Responsibilities
This role is responsible for the following outcomes/criteria:
Ensure all tasks associated with the recruitment process are completed in a timely and effective manner
Conducting professional interviews and inductions with new Personnel
Ensuring all documentation required (as per the recruitment process) for employment are in the employee file and are kept current
Ensuring staff have current certificates registration criminal record checks and working with children checks
Ensuring all vacant positions are advertised through key channels (Seek Indeed LinkedIn Client website Universities Gumtree)
Ensuring key performance indicators are met
Duties
This role has the following functions:
Conducting phone screens of potential new staff
Conducting face to face (and online) interviews
Liaison with potential and current Personnel (including Doctors Registered Nurses Paramedics Medics Trainers Sports Trainers Lifeguards Volunteers/Students Safety Officers and Firefighters)
Conducting all reference checks on all new staff
Coordinate Continuing Professional Development (CPD) sessions (including faceto-face and online)
Keeping the recruitment email account up to date and responding in accordance with the response time matrix
Provide statement of service or reference letters as requested by Medical Personnel Processing all new staff files using Zoho Recruit & VT Events
Active networking at universities and training colleges
Strategic positive goals: retention culture and staff development
Undertake other office duties from time to time as required
Authorities
The position has the following authorities with respect to their role in the business:
Represent the Client to Personnel and to existing and potential staff and other organizations
Represent the Client with professionalism at all times
Ensure most cost effective (or neutral) method is implemented at all times
Ensure strategies and processes are scalable and can be implemented nationally
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in human resources Psychology Business Administration or related field.
- 3 years of HR experience ideally within Australian organizations or supporting Australian teams.
- Solid understanding of Fair Work legislation NES and workplace compliance requirements.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a high level of professionalism.
- Experience in HRIS and ATS platforms (e.g. BambooHR Employment Hero or similar).
- Ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and integrity.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working remotely and managing multiple priorities.
