EduTalent Group are supporting an independent specialist school in East Sussex in recruiting a full-time SENCo to join their team after half term. This role could be offered on a short-term supply basis (46 weeks) or as a temp-to-perm position for the right candidate.
The successful candidate will play a key role in leading the schools SEN strategy supporting pupils with SEMH communication and learning needs and working closely with staff parents and external agencies to ensure high-quality inclusive provision. Key responsibilities include overseeing SEN policy and provision leading interventions conducting annual reviews and acting as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead.
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status
National Award for SEN Co-ordination or willingness to complete within 3 years
Previous experience in Autism/SEMH settings
Experience in conducting training and leading INSET
Sound knowledge of the SEND Code of Conduct
Previous involvement in school self-evaluation and development planning
Committed to professional development and learning
