A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced dedicated and forward-thinking SENCO to join a respected and inclusive secondary school in Nottingham. This full-time permanent role begins January 2026 or sooner for the right candidate.
You will lead the schools SEND provision ensuring that students with additional needs receive high-quality tailored support that enables them to succeed academically and personally. The role involves coordinating EHCP processes managing interventions supporting teachers with differentiation and working closely with parents external agencies and a team of LSAs.

Overseeing SEND provision across all year groups
Managing EHCP reviews referrals and documentation
Leading and mentoring the LSA team
Advising teachers on differentiation and classroom strategies
Liaising with external professionals and families
Ensuring full compliance with the SEND Code of Practice
National Award for SEN Coordination (or willingness to work towards it)
Strong understanding of SEND legislation
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Experience working in a SEND leadership role
