Position Summary:
As a Registered Nurse will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient-centered care within the General Medical and Cardiology ward. This includes the assessment planning implementation and evaluation of nursing care for patients with a wide range of acute and chronic medical and cardiac conditions.
The nurse will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective care delivery in alignment with hospital policies and the relevant board standards (AHPRA/NMBA in Australia).
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop person-centred care plans.
- Provide care to patients with cardiac conditions including post-myocardial infarction heart failure and arrhythmias.
- Assist with the administration of medications including cardiac-specific therapies and monitor patient response.
- Accurately document clinical observations vital signs and nursing interventions.
- Monitor telemetry and support patients undergoing cardiac diagnostics and procedures.
- Educate patients and their families about their health condition medications and ongoing care.
- Collaborate effectively with medical allied health and support staff to deliver holistic care.
- Comply with infection control standards and workplace safety procedures.
- Participate in audits quality improvement initiatives and continuing professional development.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent.
- Relevant experience in acute care settings preferred (medical or cardiology experience desirable).
- Competence in ECG interpretation and cardiac observation monitoring desirable.
Remuneration: on offer is base annual salary ranging from $75436.57 - $99268.14 superannuation based on experience level and qualifications exclusive of penalties or allowances. (WA gr1-gr8)

- Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
