Registered Nurse Night Duty: General Medical and Cardiology Ward

Reports To: Nurse Unit Manager
Position Summary:
As a Registered Nurse will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient-centered care within the General Medical and Cardiology ward. This includes the assessment planning implementation and evaluation of nursing care for patients with a wide range of acute and chronic medical and cardiac conditions.
The nurse will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective care delivery in alignment with hospital policies and the relevant board standards (AHPRA/NMBA in Australia).
Key Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop person-centred care plans.
Provide care to patients with cardiac conditions including post-myocardial infarction heart failure and arrhythmias.
Assist with the administration of medications including cardiac-specific therapies and monitor patient response.
Accurately document clinical observations vital signs and nursing interventions.
Monitor telemetry and support patients undergoing cardiac diagnostics and procedures.
Educate patients and their families about their health condition medications and ongoing care.
Collaborate effectively with medical allied health and support staff to deliver holistic care.
Comply with infection control standards and workplace safety procedures.
Participate in audits quality improvement initiatives and continuing professional development.
Qualifications and Experience:
Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent.
Relevant experience in acute care settings preferred (medical or cardiology experience desirable).
Competence in ECG interpretation and cardiac observation monitoring desirable.
Remuneration: on offer is base annual salary ranging from $75436.57 - $99268.14 superannuation based on experience level and qualifications exclusive of penalties or allowances. (WA gr1-gr8)
