The Registered Nurse will provide skilled nursing care in a Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) managing patients with conditions such as sepsis ARDS renal failure and heart failure. The role involves patient assessments medication administration treatment planning and collaboration with the healthcare team. The nurse will work 3x12 night shifts and every other weekend.

Responsibilities:
- Provide skilled nursing care to MICU patients.
- Perform patient assessments and monitor vital signs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Manage patients with conditions such as sepsis ARDS renal failure and heart failure.
- Care for patients requiring CRRT EKOS IABP ECMO and Impella support.
- Document patient care and related duties in the electronic medical record.
- Provide skilled nursing care to MICU patients.

Required Skills & Certifications:
- Active Registered Nurse license in New York State (in hand).
- EPIC charting experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of hospital home health or hospice care experience.
- Clinical Assessment Medication Administration and Treatment Planning skills.
- Interdisciplinary Team Collaboration skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelors degree in Nursing or related field.
- Active Registered Nurse license in New York State (in hand).

- Experience with sepsis ARDS renal failure heart failure pre-VAD workups alcohol withdrawal overdose multi-organ failure post-cardiac arrest/targeted temperature management respiratory failure/shock.
- Experience with CRRT EKOS IABP ECMO and Impella.

Special Considerations:
- Must reside over 75 miles from the facility.
- Nurse-patient ratio is typically 1:2 with occasional 1:1 based on acuity.

- 3x12 night shifts 1900-0730.
