Our product
We are currently focused on helping salmon farmers better understand their fish population and make environmentally sound decisions. Through custom underwater cameras computer vision and machine learning we are able to quantify fish weights detect the health status and generate optimal feeding plans in real time. Our product operates at three levels: on-site hardware for image capture cloud pipelines for data processing and a user-facing web application. As a result there are hundreds of moving pieces and no shortage of fascinating challenges across all levels of the stack.

The role
Aquabyte is looking for a Sales Manager to contribute to the companys commercial growth in Chile. This role will be responsible for driving the companys strengthening relationships with existing customers and identifying new business opportunities. The Sales Manager will play a key role in connecting Aquabytes data-driven technology with the operational and strategic needs of salmon producers.

Responsibilities

    • Driving sales strategy and revenue growth
    • Managing client relationships directly
    • Overseeing commercial negotiations and contracts
    • Manage some of the existing customers and consolidating long-term relationships
    • Prospect and capture new clients by identifying business opportunities across the salmon farming value chain
    • Develop and execute consultative sales processes aligning customer needs with Aquabytes technological solutions
    • Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting proposal implementation and post-sales support collections ensuring clear and timely communication
    • Maintain updated administrative documentation and commercial reports

Qualifications

    • Bachelors degree in Veterinary Medicine Business Administration Aquaculture Engineering Industrial Engineering or related fields. A graduate degree is a plus
    • Between 5 years experience in consultative sales within the aquaculture industry is a plus
    • Solid knowledge of salmon farming feeding production and fish health processes
    • Strong negotiation and communication skills with the ability to build trust at both executive and operational levels
    • High intermediate to advanced English
    • Based in Chile with availability to travel to farming sites
    • Class B drivers license and own transportation
