Job Summary

Job Overview

The Accounts Payable and Travel Analyst will be responsible for the planning program management and coordination of the university Travel Program including developing policies and procedures training programs identifying opportunities to realize cost savings and ensuring compliance with all CSU CSUSM state and federal legal requirements. Effectively schedule communicate and train. Maintain accounting records prepare reconciliations and statistical reports and resolve difficult and unusual problems. Utilize Concur and Common Financial System to ensure timely payments to customers and suppliers.

Process and audit payments financial documents and hospitality requests in accordance with policies and procedures. Prepare assemble and compile data used in the preparation of financial reports and/or analysis. Devise new methods and modify established procedures based on university policies and best practices. Develop and coordinate training program for end users and department budget coordinators. Coordinate special projects as needed.

This is a full-time non-exempt position which will lead toward permanent status following the successful completion of a probationary period.

Pay Benefits and Work Schedule

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $4799 per month (step 1)

CSU Classification Salary Range: $4799 - $6992 per month

Salary is commensurate with the background and experience of the individual selected.

This position is eligible for a broad range of benefits including medical dental vision life and disability insurances retirement (CalPERS) tuition waiver vacation and sick addition 15 paid holidays are offered each year; 14 scheduled on specific days and a Personal Holiday that may be taken any time during the year.
