Perform secretarial receptionist and office management functions for the district and administration. Provide support services for staff. As a liaison between the Administration and staff students parents and the *High School diploma or : *Achievement of a satisfactory pre-employment/appointment test score if required. *Meet all current health requirements including a negative tuberculosis test. *Evidence of a clear record as determined by the Bureau of Criminal Identificationand Investigation and/or Federal Bureau of Investigation. *Perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board ofEducation policies. *Experience in using electronic spreadsheets and word processing on personalcomputers; strong skills with MS Excel Google Sheets. *Self motivated problem solver with an attention to detail and ability to workwith confidential information. *Ability to work with others in difficult situations. *Manages tasks efficiently to meet deadlines. *Experience working with the student information system(s). *Ability to read and understand different file layouts and find data in the districtsvarious programs. *Ability to achieve proficiency recording EMIS data. *Skilled at operating general office equipment. Essential *Perform all assigned duties according to the policies rules and regulations ofFunctions:the Athens City School Board of Education and the Ohio Department ofEducation. Comply with all local and Federal mandates. *Perform receptionist duties. Acknowledge visitors and determine the reasonfor their visit. *Answer the telephone. Direct calls as requested or follow discretionaryprocedure based on the nature of the inquiry. *Gather and organize documentation and/or data as directed by theAdministration. Assist with the preparation of materials to be submitted to the Board of Education Superintendent district administrators COORDINATOR *Track out-of-district non-handicapped students enrolled in Athens City Schoolscalculate days and prepare SF-14. *Facilitate the collection of data for the Educational Management InformationSystem (EMIS). Verify accuracy. Correct errors. Maintain required print and distribute reports as directed. Monitor changes that govern the manner in which data is collected recorded and reported. Attend all meetings and training programs. Distribute updated information to appropriate district staff. Provide training when required. *Prepare process and maintain computer data for the Educational ManagementInformation System (EMIS): Enter new enrollments withdrawals studentschedules etc (based on the building the student is enrolled at). Update demographic data. *Coordinates the collections verification maintenance and reporting ofmanagement information (i.e. student staff and financial data). Ensures thatall information is complete and accurate. Maintains electronic databases thatsupport the safe and efficient retention/retrieval of files/records. *Works with technology staff to monitor computer operating systems and dataentry procedures to ensure consistent standards for the accurate collectionrecording and verification of information. *Attends training programs to keep current with system modifications thatgovern data collection record keeping and reporting procedures. *Disseminates information updates. Provides staff training and support services. *Oversees district-wide data collection and entry processes. Ensures that allprogram sites maintain required records (e.g. student demographics academiccourses testing data attendance etc.). *Helps research plan and develop special reports. Interprets data and otherstatistical information. *Supervises the collection verification and data entry/recording of program information as directed. *Prepares/maintains accurate records. Submits required paperwork on the confidentiality of private information. *Effectively manage EMIS reporting for both student and staff information. *Track and code all students participating in Free and Reduced Price meals. *Track and code all homeless JDC and jail placement students. *Enter all previous test scores for all new transfer students. *Upload and download all data related to testing including (but not inclusive)to Kindergarten REadiness Assessment ELA preschool assessments AIR testsK-3 diagnostic testing ACT/SAT Physical Education testing and Gifted testing. *Operate all office equipment. Monitor and schedule equipment maintenancewhen necessary. *Keep current with advances in office technology. Update practices andprocedures when appropriate. Share knowledge and skill with appropriate staff. *Provide backup support for absent office and staff when required. *Assist the Administration with the preparation of materials for the opening and closing of school. Retrieve inventory of supplies and equipment as required. Store equipment and supplies at the end of the school COORDINATOR *Attend all mandatory meetings and training programs. Participate inprofessional growth activities when requested. *Serve as a role model for students.
