Purchasing is a top priority at NCC playing a key role in securing long-term success and delivering profitable projects. 

As Purchasing Risk & Compliance Specialist you will play an important part in making sure our supply chains meet legal and ethical standards. Your main focus will be on monitoring and supporting sustainable practices within our supplier base in one of the leading companies in the construction industry.

The role and key responsibilities

In this role you will play an important part in making sure our suppliers and supply chains meet legal and ethical standards. Your main responsibility will be to monitor and support sustainable practices while also addressing key commercial risks in our supplier base and supply chain. This requires a strong business understanding as the solutions will impact our daily operations. You will also help with accurate reporting of sustainability metrics for Purchasing. Since this role connects with many parts of our operations good stakeholder management skills are essential. By working effectively with both internal colleagues and external partners you will help ensure that our supplier base remains competitive.

 

  • Supply Chain Risk Management: Further develop the Supply Chain Risk Management efforts within NCC. Provide advice on supply chain related issues for the organization.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Check and ensure compliance with sustainability regulations policies and standards as well as other risk areas in the supply chain.
  • Sustainability Reporting: Work with internal teams and external partners to collect data and prepare sustainability reports focusing on Social and Governance aspects.
  • Auditing Assessment and Tools: Support the use of audits assessments and tools to ensure our supply chain meets legal requirements and ethical standards.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Keep up with regulations and industry standards in supply chain management and suggest updates to our policies when needed.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with teams like purchasing sustainability risk and legal to ensure our purchasing practices and reporting processes are in line with goals.
  • Training and Awareness: Help develop and deliver training programs to improve knowledge of sustainability policies supply chain risks and procedures among both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify ways to improve sustainability performance and suggest new ideas for making our practices better. 
  • Reporting and Communication: Prepare regular reports on sustainability performance present findings to senior management and contribute to external reporting efforts.

 

About Purchasing at NCC

NCC Purchasing is a network of professionals across the Nordics. We handle everything from project purchasing and supplier base development to strategic sourcing and category management. Collaboration between our teams is key to delivering successful customer this role you will work closely together with- and report to- our Head of Purchasing Legal & Risk Management.

 


Qualifications :

Your experience and background

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A bachelors or a masters degree in finance economics or law.
  • 3 years of experience with sustainability compliance reporting and/or auditing within purchasing or supply chain management.
  • A strong business understanding where knowledge of the construction industry is an advantage.
  • Strong organizational skills to handle several tasks at once along with good problem-solving abilities.
  • Great collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluent in English as well as in one of the following Nordic languages Swedish/Danish/Norwegian (both spoken and written).

Additional information

This position is based in NCCs head office in Solna and requires regular travel. However we encourage flexible working and digital collaboration whenever possible.

As part of NCCs safety culture background checks will be conducted for final candidates.
