This position provides general administrative support for a dynamic array of academic programs with a focus on expanding and enriching the Colleges marketing impact and engagement with key audiences and stakeholders of the College. While reporting to the dean and working as part of a coordinated support team for the dean and department chairs the Messaging and Content Coordinator will also work in close coordination with the UWRF University Marketing and Communications (UMC) team and CAS Departments to support a wide variety of communication messaging and content needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide cross-functional support as part of an administrative team in CAS:
Work closely with unit leaders and the deans office to understand key audiences of the programs and people in the College and to coordinate CAS messaging and communications efforts.
Assist the Guest Contracts Coordinator and the Engagement Coordinator in organizing and promoting events.
Supervise student workers as needed.
Enhance the visibility and impact of messaging and communication efforts in CAS:
Work with the Engagement Coordinator and CAS Departments to coordinate high-impact CAS programs and events that engage specific audiences such as prospective students alumni donors and the greater community.
Periodically review and refresh the Colleges web pages ensuring accurate and engaging information.
Capture high-quality content/assets (e.g. images video testimonials) and collaborate with UMC to enhance the Colleges messaging and outreach efforts with compelling visual materials that are appropriately aligned with institutional brand standards.
Manage and maintain the College of Arts and Sciences social media platforms by creating CAS related/supporting content in alignment with UWRF institutional standards and policies.
Develop and update digital and print media (promotional materials etc.) in collaboration with UMC and CAS Departments.
Ensure appropriate internal and external promotion of the wide-ranging events and engagement opportunities in CAS for internal and external audiences/stakeholders.
Coordinate with the Engagement Coordinator and the Guest Contracts Coordinator to provide staff presence at events as appropriate.
Maintain faculty and staff directories by department/program.
Update and manage the digital signage for CAS (RiseVision).
Assist departments as needed with technical questions or training related to social media.
Collaborate with UMC and the Campus Communicators Group on sharing CAS-related news/projects.
Work with the UMC Public Relations Specialist and other units as appropriate to develop and distribute CAS-related news.

Experience with graphic design web editing social media video storytelling and/or related creative work
Ability to use a digital camera to capture high quality images/video
Demonstrated outstanding organizational and time management skills
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite and/or design programs such as Canva
Experience with photo and video archiving databases such as PhotoShelter
Experience maintaining web pages ideally in Drupal CMS
Experience working in an educational environment
Bachelors degree in graphic design marketing communications or a related field
