What To Expect
The Global Travel & Expense team is responsible for the design maintenance and operational execution of the global processes in the areas related to JDE Peets worldwide corporate travel and business expenses. This includes a variety of subprocesses such as; Travel Booking (via our travel agency and/or online) Meeting planning Corporate cards & Payment process Expense report process and other. The teams core focus is to improve efficiency drive user satisfaction and decrease cost end to end across these areas.
The team defines the company wide strategy and approach on business travel & expenses and forms action plans based on this. It closely works with external service and technology suppliers to execute these plans. The team is responsible for training content user guides and other forms of documentation and communication in order to ensure JDE Peets internal employees are equipped with the tools and knowledge they need.
The team falls under the Global Transactional Finance team and are part of the Global Group Control team and operates out of the Netherlands with stakeholders across all levels and locations in the organisation.
Your Responsibilities!
As a Global Travel & Expense intern you will be working in an international environment and support the Global Travel & Expense team. You will be in charge of analysing and auditing business expenses across countries. You will participate in creating process improvement plans in all the areas in which the team operates. You will be requested to autonomously work on a project assigned to you. This internship is an ideal opportunity to acquire experience at a major international company and you will be exposed to different functions and levels within the organization.
Qualifications :
- Student enrolled in a Bachelor or Master program at a University looking for an internship or project (graduation projects can be discussed)
- Bachelor / MSc program in Business Administration Business Economics or equivalent
- Enthusiastic and pro-active
- Pragmatic
- Driven and result-oriented: you want to make things happen
- Fluent in English (both written and spoken)
- Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
- Able to start in the first months of 2026 (latest March 01 2026)
Additional Information :
For this internship at JDE Peets a standard compensation applies. This internship is for a 6-9 month period. It is a full time internship but 4 days can be discussed. Only students still registered at a business school /university during the whole internship period will be considered. An online assessment is part of the selection process.
