An organized delivery-oriented all-round Business Manager to the Global Head of Lending who embraces change in a fast-paced dynamic and international environment. Be the forcemultiplier to the Global Head of Lending converting strategy into execution and keeping a global Lending organization running on time on target and in control. The role orchestrates operating rhythm performance management governance controls and communications across the global Lending teams.
Your role
As Business Manager you support the Global Head of Lending in all activities. This role provides you broad insight in the global ING organization. You will operate on a strategic tactical and operational level. You act as a linking pin within WB Lending and for other business units and support functions across the network (Sectors WB products CTO Risk and Finance).
Your responsibilities
- Enable focus prioritization and effective decision-making for the Head of Lending and Lending MT; run MT SteerCos offsites and townhalls with clear agendas and follow-up
- Act as linking pin for Lending with support functions such as Finance HR Communications and Non-Financial Risk departments
- Safeguard a robust front-to-back control environment together with Non-Financial Risk ODCR and Tribe Lending (RCSAs policy attestation audit readiness)
- Monitor the progress of key financial and non-financial performance metrics ensuring actions are allocated to the relevant people and are acted upon
- Maintain and develop relationships in and outside WB to create opportunities and ensure alignment cross departments
- Proactively signal and suggest areas for improvement in internal processes consistent with our efforts to simplify and standardize our processes across WB
- Prepare strategic presentation material for the head of Lending
Given the nature of the work and access to confidential and sensitive information this role is deemed sensitive. Enhanced screening (CSI-equivalent) applies.
About you
- 7 years in financial services banking or consulting ideally with experience in strategy development and execution. Experience product knowledge and network within ING Wholesale Banking preferable
- Strong financial & data fluency (P&L capital/RWA portfolio metrics); converts complex data into crisp executive insights to inform decisions
- Solid NFR and policy literacy; audit readiness and issue management experience
- Excellent written/spoken English; proven executive communications and experience in tailoring inspiring messages to large audiences (i.e. townhalls webcasts)
- Comfortable to challenge established thinking and practices consistently seek pragmatic approaches to problem-solving
- High organizational sensitivity; capable of building trusted relationships and buy-in with key stakeholder across geographies and functions
- Strong work ethics and comfortable to operate within ambiguous and high work environment
