What youll do
This role is part of Nutrecos Investment Project (NIP) team which falls under Nutrecos Global Supply Chain group. This team has a global reach and is responsible for the successful delivery of large CAPEX projects (EUR 2.5M and higher) for all Nutrecos business units which in practice means the projects management of design contracting construction and commissioning phases. NIP manages a portfolio of approx. 15 greenfield and brownfield projects.
As Global CAPEX PMO Lead you will play a pivotal role in the NIP team. You will lead the global project management office (PMO) function while focusing on excellence in project management & controls and following the PMI methodology. You will also provide governance of the NIP project portfolio. You will report to the Nutreco Engineering Director.
This role is not just about governance; its about being in the field working shoulder-to-shoulder with project teams providing hands-on support. You will travel (approx. 30%) to project sites to train teams implement best practices and ensure that Nutrecos standards are understood and applied on the ground. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining unified procedures tools and guidelines that enable consistent high-quality project delivery across regions.
You will act as the single source of truth for NIPs project portfolio proactively identifying risks gaps and opportunities for improvement. This also involves ownership of portfolio management tools & templates and portfolio status reporting. Your insights will inform senior management and business units helping Nutreco make strategic decisions about its global CAPEX investments. This is a highly visible hands-on leadership role that requires a balance of strategic thinking and operational execution.
Who were looking for
For this position we are looking for an experienced PMO with strong exposure to global projects to be able to provide advice and guidance to project teams with regards to CAPEX project management processes and company policies relevant to CAPEX projects which frequently involves direct hands-on participation in projects at project locations as well as providing governance (monitoring) on compliance.
Youll also need:
Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related technical field; PMP certification or equivalent project management qualification is strongly preferred.
Minimum of 6 years experience in developing implementing and training project management processes for large-scale CAPEX projects (5100M) within an industrial environment.
At least 8 years of hands-on experience working on-site in CAPEX project teams in roles such as project management or project controls. Demonstrated experience in an Operations related role (e.g. production maintenance quality etc) will be highly preferred.
Proven track record in at least two CAPEX projects exceeding 5M with responsibility for project controls including cost management scheduling risk management and project reporting.
Solid understanding of financial accounting and/or controlling principles with at least 2 years of experience supporting CAPEX project financials.
Fluent in English; proficiency in additional European languages is considered an asset.
