Nursery Manager

Location:Norwich

Salary:32000 per annum

Contract/Hours: Fixed Term/Full Time (12 months commencing - January 2026) 40 hours per week

Closing date:Midnight on the 30th of October 2025

Interviews to be held week commencing the 3rd November 2026

About the nursery

Spring Milecross is a well-established nursery located at the Norman Community Centre in Norwich. Rated Good by Ofsted we provide high-quality early years education and care for children aged 3 months to 5 years. Our setting offers a nurturing inclusive environment with bright engaging spaces and free-flow access to outdoor play. We pride ourselves on supporting every childs individual development and well-being ensuring all children thrive. As Nursery Manager youll lead a passionate and dedicated team committed to helping children learn grow and thrive.

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Nursery Manager to lead our dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping a nurturing inclusive and high-quality early years environment for our children.

As Nursery Manager youll be responsible for the day-to-day running of the nursery ensuring the delivery of outstanding early years education in line with the EYFS and organisational standards. Youll lead support and develop your team to provide a safe caring and stimulating environment where every child can thrive.

Youll build and maintain strong relationships with the children Parents carers and team to ensure the best outcomes. Experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN) is essential as you will champion inclusive practice and ensure that individual needs are met through tailored support and partnership working.

We are looking for a confident compassionate leader who can inspire their team manage effectively and uphold the highest standards of safeguarding care and professional practice.

Some other key responsibilities of your role will be;

  • Actively engaging in marketing and advertising to develop an excellent reputation for the nursery.
  • Supporting the development of an innovative approach to childrens learning and play that is demonstrated by teams working well together within the setting.
  • Undertaking the Designated Safeguarding Person and Registered Manager role in relation to Care Inspectorate Wales registration.
  • Overseeing the recording and reporting of planning observation and progression for all children including a full and thorough assessment of the setting against the National Minimum Standards and Early Childhood Play Learning and Care framework.

Lets talk about you

In the role of Nursery Manager were ideally looking for someone who has:

  • Minimum level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years.
  • Leadership and management experience in a childcare setting.
  • Experience of working in a senior role within a nursery setting or centre working with children aged 0 to 5 years and their families.
  • Leading a staff team including supervision work allocation assessment or training and professional development.
  • Knowledge andunderstandingof the EYFS Ofstedrequirementsand relevant currentlegislation.
  • Understanding of child protection processes safeguarding and working with vulnerable children.
  • Commitment to inclusive and non-discriminatory working practice with children families colleagues and the community.
