About the Team
The Subscriptions team at Roku is focused on growing Rokus subscriptions business by evaluating opportunities to better compete in the SVOD landscape and working cross-functionally to ensure the optimal execution of those initiatives. As the companys core business team thinking about subscriptions we are setting the strategy and vision for Rokus SVOD business and partnering closely with internal teams such as Content Distribution Partner Growth/Management Marketing Merchandising and Product to bring the vision to life.
About the role
Roku is seeking an experienced and dynamic Business Development & Marketing Partnerships leader in Mexico focused on growing Roku-billed subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) services on the platform in territory. This role is critical to expanding our subscriptions presence subscriber reach and subscription monetization opportunities by identifying evaluating and negotiating partnerships with local companies across a wide variety of industries across the subscription and billing landscape such as telco retail financial services payments to increase awareness and drive subscriber growth.
Additionally this leadership role will help bring together and develop efficient and effective operational processes across all subscriptions resources in the market who support the overall growth of subscriptions. You will be the subscriptions business local Mexico market lead in bridging strategies comms and culture with our global teams.
The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in subscription business models a strong understanding of the entertainment and media landscape in Mexico and a proven track record of operational execution in strategic partnerships. The role will also be a key touchpoint in connecting our US-based global subscription team with the cross-functional local team.
The role is in Mexico City MX and requires strong professional level Spanish and English language proficiency.
