Job Summary

Position Summary: Responsible for vehicle maintenance and assignments as well as safe driving training and new employee orientation. Regularly audit all processes for compliance and ensure best practices are being used. Qualifications Required:Bachelors degree preferredFirm knowledge of computer uses and appropriate applicationsAbility to establish and maintain organized systems and proceduresAbility to communicate effectively both verbally and in writingAbility to maintain confidentiality of informationAbility to deal with problems that may arise involving several variables in standardized situationsSuch alternatives to the above qualifications as the Executive Director may find appropriate and in conformity with state and federal :Oversee and schedule the Smith Driving System all Orientation Classes for new Curriculum for all safety training classes. Schedule and conduct annual safety all processes policies and 3rd party Mandatory Defensive Class for all drivers Wheelchair Review Classes for specified drivers and monitorsParticipate in Season Kick-off MeetingsEstablish listing of Safety Reminders to be emailed to driversEmergency procedures (accidents and breakdowns)Driver Job PerformanceCounsel drivers who are not following company policies and processesAudit GPS data to ensure drivers are compliant with co. policies and all applicable lawsReview all accidents and file with insurance company and police department. Counsel and observe drivers when appropriateInvestigate and document driver complaintsAudit vehicles for cleanliness and compliance with company policiesManage FleetAssign vehiclesCoordinate vehicle maintenance and repair with maintenance facilitiesArrange annual and 7D vehicle inspectionsRecommend replacement vehiclesComprehensive record keeping for all fleet vehicles invoicing and in on road vehicle issues to include meeting drivers and coordinating the replacement of disabled excess inventory classroom vans and vehicles as needed to meet organizational snow from classroom and spare vans as and coordinate vehicle reassignments to ensure level mileage totals. Audit personal mileage usage weekly for unannounced field audits of drivers as and approve all 3rd party invoices for accuracy and opportunity to reduce PIN numbers for fuel detail for and reconcile fuel cards EZ pass transponders and GPS units related duties as assigned by the supervisor or the Executive Director Success Factors/Job Competencies:Great attention to detail and accuracyAbility to handle confidential informationExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsPositive and proactive attitude Commitment to company mission and valuesStrong team playerPhysical Demands and Work Environment:While performing the duties of this job the employee is occasionally required to walk use hands to type handle or feel objects reach with hands and arms bend walk up and down stairs talk hear see sit for prolonged periods of time lift up to 25lbs routinely use standard office equipment such as computers copy machines fax phones shredders and filing Environment: This work is performed in a school/office environment.
