The Contract Analyst reviews analyzes drafts and negotiates routine contracts. Also responsible for managing and maintaining contracts in the contract database and working with ERP team to optimize use of Workday Strategic Sourcing (WSS) as the contract management system. The Contract Analyst may assist with more complex non-routine contracts that require development of specialized contract vehicles and techniques to accomplish business goals and objectives. May also work on special projects due diligence and process development as needed.
- Serves as a risk management generalist helping to facilitate and conduct inquiries investigations and education on a variety of hospital and clinic related topics.
- Investigates and analyzes actual and potential risks for Overlake Medical Center and Clinics. With the managers assistance reviews patient complaints that may be the source of potential legal action and recommends solutions when possible.
- Coordinates conducts and supports investigations research and resolution of risk management issues. Assists with scheduling interviews and meetings with staff and review of medical records.
- Maintains the adverse event report module overseeing data input education and provides data to leadership for analysis of incidents.
- Provides ongoing support for the online incident reporting database. Supports and provides end user education and facilitation. Supports the work of the Compliance & Risk Management Program contributing to the Compliance & Risk Management Program Description and Work Plan.
- Serves as a liaison between patients Overlake legal counsel and government oversight agencies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree is required. Juris Doctorate preferred.
- Contract Management certification is preferred. Paralegal certification is also preferred.
- Minimum of three years experience developing implementing operating or maintaining analytics for contract processes and/or business support required. Healthcare experience is preferred. Experience with Workday Strategic Sourcing (WSS) is highly desired. At the discretion of Overlake Juris Doctorate may be substituted for experience requirement.
- Excellent negotiation skills are required. Advanced skills with Microsoft Office also required. Knowledge of and an understanding of the business case and an appreciation of financial/analytical issues and profit and loss implications. Skill in interpersonal communications to interact appropriately with individuals at all levels of the organization. Ability to perform in complex cross-functional business environment. Ability to draft moderate to complex non-routine contractual instruments. Ability to analyze complex information formulate strategies communicate solutions and plans to others and monitor progress. Strong organizational skills. Knowledge of health care industry regulatory compliance and legal requirements are strongly preferred.
