Job Title: School Store Manager
Location: Mitchell High School
Reports To: Activities Director Employment Type: Part-Time
Position Summary:
The School Store Manager is responsible for the operations of the Mitchell High School store. This individual will manage inventory maintain financial records and ensure the store serves as a positive extension of the school community.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations Management
o Maintain cleanliness organization and security of the store
o Set pricing promotions and displays in collaboration with school administration
o Create a welcoming environment for students staff and visitors
Inventory & Procurement
o Order merchandise
o Track inventory levels and conduct periodic audits
o Coordinate with vendors and local businesses for supply and promotional opportunities
Financial Oversight
o Maintain accurate records of sales and expenses
o Ensure daily sales procedures are followed
o Prepare financial reports for administration as requested
Customer Service
o Provide excellent service to all patrons
o Address concerns or complaints in a timely and respectful manner
o Represent Mitchell High School positively in all interactions
Preferred Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (Associates or Bachelors degree preferred)
Experience in retail or school store operations
Strong organizational and financial management skills
Proficiency with basic point-of-sale systems and spreadsheets
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
Additional Information:
Flexible schedule
School Store Manager largely will be responsible for back end operations of the school store (managing inventory managing financials etc) but will be asked to staff the store occasionally for limited hours on days like Registration Day Kernel Bowl Homecoming Week etc.
Must adhere to Mitchell School District policies and procedures
