Job Summary
School Psychologist New York School-Based Position
Are you passionate about helping students succeed academically socially and emotionally
We are seeking a licensed School Psychologist to join a collaborative New York school team in a full-time school-based role. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with students families and educators to create supportive learning environments where all students can thrive.
As a School Psychologist you will provide comprehensive psychological services to support student learning and well-being. You will conduct psycho-educational evaluations assist with IEP development and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and implement effective interventions. Your work will help identify learning needs address behavioral and social-emotional challenges and promote positive outcomes across the school community.
Position Details:
- Provide consultation to teachers administrators and families.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to eligibility and program planning.
- Support intervention development using data-driven and evidence-based practices.
- Support school-wide initiatives related to mental health behavior and student wellness.
- Conduct psycho-educational assessments and prepare clear compliant evaluation reports.
- Assist with progress monitoring and documentation in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
Requirements
- Valid New York State School Psychologist certification.
- Excellent collaboration communication and organizational skills.
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of special education regulations and evaluation procedures.
