In Thermo Fisher Scientific Brno we develop and produce high-tech electron microscopes and spectrometers. Our devices are involved in research of SARS-CoV-2 virus or enable mobile phones to get smaller. Our work contributes to making the world healthier cleaner and safer. We are the biggest production site of electron microscopes worldwide following a tradition over 70 years long. There are many experts in physics electronics software mechanical engineering and logistics among us.

What are we passionate about
The Toolchain team is engaged in the development of tools designed to support developers and testers in their daily activities with a particular emphasis on integration and test automation. Our dedication lies in creating efficient improvements through a reliable and rapid feedback loop ensuring our software aligns with forthcoming cybersecurity regulations.

What will you be working on

• Design and implement extensions to the existing web application (Angular FE BE) for visualization of component integration and smoke test results. These will help developers testers and integrators in their daily work.
• Collaborate with SW engineers SW testers and Product Owners from the Czech Republic and the Netherlands
• What technologies are we using
• For development we use C# Python ELK Stack Docker Kubernetes and more
• Source code is stored in our on-premises GitLab builds are performed in Jenkins and our backlog is in Jira

Who are we looking for

• Undergraduate ideally student of Information Technology or Computer Science
• Knowledge and experience of TypeScript (and one of the frontend frameworks ideally Angular)
• Result orientation showing initiative and self-organizing good time and priority management skills.
• Solid communication in English (international team)
• Extra skills and knowledge we appropriate
• Hands-on experience of Mongo DB Web servers (Apache/Nginx) Docker Python Angular Django
• Experience with backend development (ideally ) is a bonus
• Knowledge of software engineering practices (Agile Scrum)
