About the role:

Workers Compensation forms part of the Commercial and Personal Insurance product suite. Workers Compensation products are branded GIO and sold through brokers and to the direct market. The purpose of this role is to work with the Portfolio Performance Manager and broader Workers Compensation portfolio team to manage portfolio performance and strategic positioning.

What youll do:

  • Drive Innovation and Process Optimisation - Leading the continuous improvement of systems and processes to enhance business performance and support the achievement of strategic objectives and targets
  • Contribute to Tool and Capability Development - Support the development of rating tools and provide strategic portfolio input to ensure alignment with business needs
  • Lead and Support Change Initiatives - Apply project management expertise to effectively prioritise plan and manage change initiatives that align with business goals
  • Model Strategic Impacts- Conduct impact modelling of initiatives to assess their influence on sustainable Insurance Service Result (ISR) and portfolio growth
  • Collaborate Across Key Stakeholders - Partner with Pricing Finance Actuarial Claims and Underwriting teams to share insights monitor performance and drive the achievement of portfolio objectives.

What youll bring:

  • Minimum 3 years appropriate industry experience in general insurance (mandatory)
  • Minimum 3 years in portfolio management (desired)
  • Experience in General Insurance Claims or Underwriting
  • Good understanding of the personal injury products industry market environment and customer segment
  • Ability to respond to the commercial environment particularly regarding Market and Regulatory changes and to apply sound commercial decision making in accordance with delegated authority
