Senior Data Engineer Energy Markets
Are you a data engineering expert ready to take ownership of critical systems for one of Australias leading IPPs This is an opportunity to leave an impact and join a cutting-edge Energy team driving innovation in Australias energy markets.
Enemix have partnered with one of Australias leading independent power producers seeking their next hire to become the pillar of their Data Engineering functions. Were looking for a Senior Data Engineer to lead the design development and governance of data systems that power real-time decision-making and operational excellence across a growing suite of energy market applications.
What Youll Do
As a key member of the team youll:
- Own and maintain core SQL Server databases used in production-critical environments.
- Design and implement scalable reliable data pipelines for energy market and telemetry data.
- Define and enforce best practices for schema versioning data lifecycle management and access patterns.
- Mentor junior team members and champion modern data tooling and governance practices.
What You Bring
- 3 years in data engineering roles with hands-on experience in operations-critical environments.
- Background in the energy sector or real-time operations.
- Deep expertise in SQL and Python with a strong grasp of scalable data architecture.
- Familiarity with containerisation (e.g. Docker) and cloud platforms (Azure AWS etc.).
- A proactive mindset and passion for software and data quality.
