A well-established client in the automotive sector is seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of a busy warehouse environment. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced setting takes initiative and has a solid grasp of warehouse systems and labour management.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth inbound and outbound processes stock control and the effective leadership of warehouse staff. A strong understanding of logistics compliance and warehouse systems is essential to succeed in this role.
Key Duties:
- Oversee stock control reconciliation and reporting on stock variances
- Monitor warehouse performance turnaround and lead times
- Manage inbound and outbound stock flow including receiving checking and distribution
- Implement effective controls to reduce stock loss and ensure accurate returns processing
- Supervise drivers vehicle maintenance and distribution planning
- Lead and develop warehouse staff conduct performance reviews and ensure compliance with all legal and company standards
Key Requirements:
- Matric required; tertiary qualification in warehouse/logistics is desirable
- Minimum 5 years experience in a warehouse environment preferably in the automotive industry
- Prior experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or Manager is essential
- Strong leadership planning and decision-making skills
- In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation (e.g. OHSA LRA BCEA EE Act)
- High level of computer literacy
- Proven ability to solve problems negotiate effectively and work collaboratively
