Job Summary

Job Description:Shall be responsible for providing district-wide consultation and support in all areas of behavior management.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serve as an information clearinghouse for school personnelregarding appropriate behavior management techniques.
  • Provide ongoing consultation to staff working with students who exhibit behavioral difficulties.
  • Provide ongoing consultation to staff who work with students in Special Education program.
  • Provide support for teams completing Functional Behavior Assessments and creating Behavior Intervention Plans
  • Reflect on special education data and feedback from teachers to plan staff development opportunities for teachers.
  • Pursues educational studies to maintain and improve professional levels of performance.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by the District Special Education Administrators.

Qualifications:

  • Master degree or higher in behavioral science related studies
  • BCBA License
  • Extensive knowledge in the areas of: supporting students with behavioral challenges behavior management best practices de-escalation techniques and crisis intervention strategies
