Job Description:Shall be responsible for providing district-wide consultation and support in all areas of behavior management.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Serve as an information clearinghouse for school personnelregarding appropriate behavior management techniques.
- Provide ongoing consultation to staff working with students who exhibit behavioral difficulties.
- Provide ongoing consultation to staff who work with students in Special Education program.
- Provide support for teams completing Functional Behavior Assessments and creating Behavior Intervention Plans
- Reflect on special education data and feedback from teachers to plan staff development opportunities for teachers.
- Pursues educational studies to maintain and improve professional levels of performance.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by the District Special Education Administrators.
Qualifications:
- Master degree or higher in behavioral science related studies
- BCBA License
- Extensive knowledge in the areas of: supporting students with behavioral challenges behavior management best practices de-escalation techniques and crisis intervention strategies
