Job Description

Salary

$26.114 - $28.313

Schedule

Days Monday to Friday

Shift

Expected Average Number of Hours: 25 - 30 per week ( Not guarantee of hours )

Part-time contract position to work 25 - 30 hours per week providing coverage in the Infection Prevention and Control Office. Duties include document management taking minutes scheduling meetings and appointments drafting correspondence filing and telephone reception data input and developing graphs. The Clerk ensures the smooth and efficient functioning and communication within the Department and between all internal and external parties. Supports and collaborates with infectious Disease Physician and Infection Prevention and Control Practitioners. Other duties as per job fact sheet.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of secondary school required
  • Successful completion of a Medical Terminology course required
  • Experience within a health care environment is preferred
  • Exemplary telephone manner is essential
  • Proficient data entry skills required
  • Demonstrated ability to plan organize and prioritize activities in a fast paced environment is required
  • Recent experience with Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook and PowerPoint) required
  • Recent experience with Meditech required
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills required
  • Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis is required
