Wandiyali is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation established in Newcastle in 1997. We are the largest accredited Aboriginal provider of PSP OOHC within Newcastle Lake Macquarie Hunter Region and Port Stephens. Wandiyali also has a number of Preservation Programs and support services that work closely with children young people and families.
Wandiyali strives to employ support and develop therapeutic skills of Aboriginal people who have a passion for working in this sector.

The Opportunity
The Intake Caseworker plays a key role within Wandiyali as they are the first point of contact for vulnerable clients seeking support. The Intake Caseworker will work alongside clients to assess their needs providing brief interventions to mitigate safety and risk issues and will oversee and coordinate referrals internally and externally. The Intake Caseworker has strong knowledge of community resources and programs maintaining relationships with community partners and stakeholders to ensure effective coordination of support and services.
The Intake Caseworker will oversee the intake of enquiries and assessment of referrals for the program
and the suite of Wandiyali Preservation programs.
