The Opportunity:

KBR is seeking a strategically minded and detail-oriented professional to join our Defence team in support of the Enhanced Warfighter Information Systems (EWIS) program one of Australias premier Defence capability initiatives. As an Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Officer you will play a critical role in shaping and sustaining operational readiness through the delivery of robust logistics frameworks across the program lifecycle.

This position plays a key role in maintaining the Integrated Product Support Plan (IPSP) managing sustainment artefacts and integrating operational feedback to optimise support arrangements. It supports the execution of support contracts workforce planning and system changes ensuring sustainment outcomes are responsive efficient cost effective and continuously improved.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead sustainment activities for a defined product line ensuring alignment with capability performance expectations.
  • Coordinate sustainment inputs across delivery teams support functions and stakeholders.
  • Manage sustainment documentation produce capability presentations and support contract deliverables.
  • Conduct Logistics Support Analysis (LSA) and maintain sustainment data such as supply chain metrics obsolescence tracking and disposal planning.
  • Support day-to-day sustainment transactions and ensure compliance with Defence processes and standards.
  • Update product catalogue as required and conduct cataloguing and codification of new Items of Supply (IOS).
  • Capture and apply operational feedback and lessons learned to improve support system performance.
  • Conduct regular monitoring of sustainment performance and implement changes based on results to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Assist in identifying and mitigating sustainment risks including obsolescence and supply chain delays to meet Minimum Viable Capability (MVC).
  • Liaise with the Capability Manager and other stakeholders to ensure sustainment alignment and reduce risk to operations.
  • Provide sustainment inputs to strategic documentation such as Integrated Logistic Support Plan (ILSP) and Integrated Logistic Support Instructions (ILSI).
  • Provide inputs into strategic financial planning considering product acquisition repair pipeline and distribution.

As the ideal candidate you will bring:

  • Demonstrated experience in sustainment logistics or supply chain management within a Defence or complex systems environment.
  • Familiarity with Integrated Product Support (IPS) principals capability lifecycle management and sustainment frameworks.
  • Intermediate understanding of ILS risks and Risk Management within a sustainment environment.
  • Hands-on experience with sustainment data management contract support and transactional logistics tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in and manage small teams.
  • Experience with materiel safety requirements as part of an ILS Program such as SDSs.
  • Demonstrated ILS document/publications development skills.
  • Sound understanding of links between all ILS functions and FIC requirements.
  • Strong coordination and organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • High standard of written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to lead activities and influence outcomes across teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience in applying lessons learned and operational insights to introduce improvements.
  • Knowledge of Defence sustainment and logistics systems.
  • Knowledge of Defence Materiel Logistics framework.
  • Hands on experience in Defence ERP or previous experience in a SAP based ERP
