Skilled File Share Migration Specialist to lead and execute migrations of on-premise NAS/file shares to SharePoint Online. The ideal candidate will have 6 to 8 years of experience in data migrations SharePoint Online and working with enterprise file storage solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan coordinate and execute file share migrations from NAS/on-prem file servers to SharePoint Online ensuring data integrity and minimal downtime.
Analyze existing file shares design migration strategies and map data structures for SharePoint Online.
Collaborate with stakeholders and end users to plan migration windows monitor progress and resolve issues.
Utilize migration tools such as SharePoint Migration Tool (SPMT) ShareGate or similar to facilitate data transfer.
Ensure security permissions and compliance policies are maintained throughout and after migration.
Qualifications & Skills:
6 to 8 years hands-on experience with file share migrations to SharePoint Online including planning and execution.
Strong knowledge of SharePoint Online architecture OneDrive for Business and Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
Experience with migration tools like Microsoft SharePoint Migration Tool (SPMT) ShareGate Metalogix or equivalent.
Good understanding of file system permissions and security best practices including Active Directory and SharePoint permissions models.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with ability to work across IT and business teams.
