Job Summary

This is a remote position.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday 8:30 to 5:00 PM with 30 mins break

Scope:
  • Handle 30-40 customer calls per day maximum
  • Focus on 15-20 collections calls with more in-depth customer interaction
  • Work with clean portfolio of creditworthy customers (homeowners with good credit scores)
  • Manage early collections for both secured vehicle finance and unsecured lending products
  • Support busy seasonal periods (Christmas/New Year) when customer inquiries and arrears increase
  • Potential for role expansion and additional team members as business grows
  • Full-time position Monday through Friday schedule
  • Comprehensive training provided by dedicated account manager with established workflows

Responsibilities:

  • Handle general customer service inquiries including address changes account updates and document requests
  • Send loan statements contracts and other customer correspondence as requested
  • Route specialized inquiries (loan top-ups complex issues) to appropriate departments
  • Conduct early collections calls for accounts in pre-30 day arrearsContact customers regarding dishonored payments and missed
  • payment arrangements
  • Work with customers to establish payment plans and rehabilitation strategies
  • Follow established workflow processes for collections activities
  • Send text messages emails voicemails and arrears reminder letters as part of collections sequence
  • Float between customer service and collections duties based on business demand
  • Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions and payment arrangements

Requirements:

  • Prior collections experience particularly in early collections or pre-30 day arrears
  • Customer service background with phone-based communication skills
  • Ability to work flexibly between customer service and collections functions
  • Strong communication skills for handling sensitive financial conversations
  • Experience with CRM systems and basic computer proficiency
  • Availability to work New Zealand business hours (8:30 AM - 5:00 PM initially)
  • Professional phone manner and ability to think quickly during customer interactions
