What We Are Looking For

Baylor University is seeking a Gift Processing and Data Management Specialist to serve within University Advancement Services and reports to the Gift Processing Manager. This position is responsible for the recording and processing of contributions and ensuring all gifts are promptly and accurately entered and receipted according to IRS guidelines. It also provides support to the Data Management team by updating alumni and donor records.

Hybrid work will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Must live in the greater Waco area.

A high school diploma and one year of relevant work experience is required. An Associates degree and five years of experience are preferred.

*All applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

The ideal candidate will possess the following knowledge/skills/abilities:

  • Ability to bring innovative ideas to the workplace
  • Ability to learn quickly and feel comfortable with new and changing technologies
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Good phone and customer service skills
  • Ability to interact and work well with others
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • High attention to detail and the ability to effectively multi-task in a deadline-driven atmosphere

What You Will Do

  • Answer customer service phone calls and assist with resolution or redirecting
  • Review and reconcile gift batches
  • Ensure all gifts are promptly and accurately entered and receipted according to IRS guidelines
  • Ensure gift receipts are backed up to imaging system
  • Manage the Gifts email inbox
  • Assist with the data management of donor records
  • Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylors mission
  • Ability to comply with University policies
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance
