AVP WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT

AVP of Workforce Development

The Associate Vice President (AVP) of Workforce Development is a strategic leader responsible for designing implementing and scaling workforce initiatives that align with organizational goals. This role drives talent pipeline development career readiness programs and partnerships with educational institutions employers and government agencies to foster career development.

Sector Strategy & Leadership: Develop and implement a workforce development strategy tailored to the needs WORK Incs workforce.

Program Design & Oversight: Lead initiatives such as career pathway programs credentialing support and trauma-informed training for emerging professionals and enhance job performance through targeted skill building.

Community & Employer Partnerships: Collaborate with nonprofits government agencies educational institutions and employers to expand access to training internships and new employee pipelines.

Advocacy: Stay informed on workforce-related legislation and funding opportunities; advocate for policies that support sustainable careers in human services.

Grant Writing & Resource Development Lead the development of grant proposals and funding strategies to support workforce initiatives. Identify funding opportunities write compelling applications and manage reporting requirements for public and private grants.

Data & Impact Measurement: Use labor market data and program metrics to evaluate effectiveness inform strategy and report outcomes to stakeholders.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Human Resources Education Public Administration or related field

7 years of progressive experience in workforce development talent strategy or economic development

Strong understanding of labor market trends workforce policy and training models

Excellent communication negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills

Proven success in building cross-sector partnerships and managing complex initiatives
