A great opportunityhas arisen for a motivated professional to joinComcare working in aFlexi role. You would be basedinany service that needs your skills andexperienceandyou would report to that respective Line Manager for yourday-to-dayduties/responsibilities but would report to the Service Manager ofHousing Service Deliveryfor ongoing support.
The work will involve Comcare support work initsvariousforms depending on the serviceyou are currently basedin. We would ensure that you have the training and supportfor the role you are fulfilling.
Responsibilitiesinclude:
- Workingwithadefinedcaseloadofindividualstoenhancetheircommunity living skills and to develop self-management of their lives
- Assistingclientsmakeconnectionswithappropriateservices/agenciesand ensure required services are received
- Activeparticipationinsharedplanningwiththeclienttheirfamilyother clinical and non-clinical providers
- Communicationandliaisonwithhealthandcommunityagencies
- Maintainingaccuratehealthrecordsandstatisticaldata.
Experienceinmentalhealthorrelatedfieldsisessentialwithpreferencegivento applicants holding the Health and Wellbeing/National Certificate in Mental Health Community Support Work Level 4 or equivalent qualification.
Comcare seeks staff who are positive mature in attitude reliable and who understand recoveryprinciplesandtheapplicationofastrengthsapproachtocommunitysupportwork.
You will have a cultural awareness knowledge of and demonstrable commitment to the principles of TeTiritio Waitangi.
