Job Summary
Location: Brisbane (Hybrid mix of office & work from home)
Remuneration: $77180 plus super
About the role: Due to internal movements and several new business projects Aurizon is seeking four Payroll Officers to join our Payroll team on a 12-month fixed-term basis. These roles play an important part in ensuring timely accurate and compliant payroll services that support our workforce across Australia.
Youll join a collaborative and experienced team that underpins the employee experience delivering high-quality service maintaining data integrity and ensuring employees are paid correctly and on time.
Key responsibilities
- Provide end-to-end payroll administrative services ensuring accurate processing and payment of employee entitlements.
- Maintain employee records process manual timesheets and assist with travel expense claims.
- Ensure compliance with payroll procedures agreements and legislation.
- Provide clear customer-focused advice on payroll and entitlements.
- Contribute to process improvements and the ongoing review of payroll practices.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a consistent and efficient payroll service.
Were looking for someone with:
- Experience in payroll and/or HR administrative services within a large complex organisation.
- Working knowledge of payroll systems (SAP or similar preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Sound understanding of employee entitlements industrial instruments and relevant legislation.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
