Job Summary

The Plant Operations Manager will: 

Ensure optimized production and delivery of tires and within specified goals. Coordination of orders production and shipping to meet customer expectations inventory inventory objectives and plant constraints.

1. Managerial responsibility for Production control Purchasing and Warehouse functions. Optimize the areas of responsibility in terms of; budget customer requirements corporate expectations maximum efficiency etc.

2. Support the decentralization of the SCM-Tools and improve and maintain the plant related parameters (constraints).

3. Optimize the finish goods inventory ensure finished goods shipments are as ordered and on time solve potential supply and plant capacity utilization problems and optimize logistic processes.

4. Develop and manage a rotating production plan within production control based on agreed quantities (plant orders/customer orders/forecast) available production capacities and economic point of view.

5. Work to control costs increases and provide ongoing cost savings.

6. Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with customers corporate support personnel suppliers and operations management.

7. Identify and track agreed upon business metrics for performance measurement.

8. Lead and develop training of subordinate colleagues.

9. Optimizes Raw Material Warehouse applications in terms of management and turn rates.

10  Manages and accounts for transports and handling in respect of Corporation guidelines.

11. Perform other duties as directed by the VP of Manufacturing

12. Manage and optimize specified third party contracts.

13. Ensure all ESH procedures policies and legal requirements are implemented and monitored.

Qualifications :

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in related field
  • 10 years of experience in Manufacturing Operations
  • 18 months experience of leading people (including matrix/indirect reporting) or project leader experience.  Min. 5 years experience in leading people teams and mid size volume projects
  • Experience in international / matrix organizations.  Fluent English.  International assignment experience for at least 2 years.
  • Internal qualified candidates will meet internal guidelines for this executive level role
  • Continental is able to offer visa support for internal candidates.
  • Relocation may be possible for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in related field

The starting annual salary for this role is $132560 a year.

Salaries are based upon candidate skills experience and qualifications as well as market and business considerations
