The new University of Iowa Health Care North Libertydepartment of Radiology is seeking a Senior Imaging Technologist withprimary duties in MRI. Perform and teach specialized MRI and research procedures utilizing complex imaging equipment with close patient monitoring during exam.
Duties Include:
Perform and teach specialized imaging procedures utilizing MRI imaging equipment with close patient monitoring during exam. This includes independent operation with minimal physician supervision.
Perform MRI procedures using a variety of complex imaging and patient monitoring equipment.
Has knowledge of and applies MRI safety precautions to minimize or eliminate risks to patients personnel and equipment.
Has knowledge and understanding of key Service Excellence principles for interaction with patients and staff.
Establish rapport with patient and provide information about how the exam is performed and what is required of the patient.
Maintain effective working relationships with faculty staff students and the public.

This 469000 square foot facility is home to UI Health Cares nationally recognized Orthopedics service line offering comprehensive coordinated and accessible care across the outpatient inpatient and surgical venues. Pay Grade: 5
Pay Structure SEIU: Highlights:

Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Radiologic Technology or other Allied Health Sciences discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Excellent verbal written and interpersonal communication skills.
Must maintain current certification in American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and/or other radiologic related technological certification and Iowa Permit to Practice as required by the State of Iowa for all technologists operating ionizing radiation emitting equipment.
Desirable Qualifications:
Recent work or clinical education experience in MRI.
MRI modality training.
MRI certification or eligible.
Work or clinical education experience in a Level 1 trauma center.
