Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor - 2nd and 3rd Shift

Job Descriptioin:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Test maintain and evaluate equipment performance
- Observe machines during operation to identify problems
- Dismantle machinery to repair or remove defective parts
- Inspect and assess parts for imperfections or dimensional changes
- Adjust or replace functional parts and control instruments
- Install and test new or replacement components
- Clean lubricate and maintain mechanical systems
- Operate machinery and tools including drill presses and grinders
- Initiate purchase orders for necessary parts and equipment
- Perform electrical repairs
- Conduct skilled maintenance tasks such as welding soldering plumbing and brazing
- Inspect and repair pumps motors valves and fans
- Troubleshoot and repair electronic pneumatic relays
- Perform preventive maintenance per established schedules
- Maintain and use all tools responsibly and in good condition
- Develop and review regular maintenance work orders
- Coordinate completion of both corrective and preventive maintenance in alignment with procedures and budget
- Supervise maintenance of facilities equipment and machinery
- Accountable for maintenance tools and materials
- Follow and enforce all safety regulations and protocols
- Address performance concerns resolve conflicts and promote a positive team culture
- Report safety food safety or quality concerns to appropriate personnel
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Directly supervise Maintenance Department staff
- Conduct interviews hiring and onboarding
- Plan assign and oversee work schedules
- Evaluate employee performance provide coaching and administer discipline when necessary
- Resolve employee complaints and implement improvements
- Attend leadership development programs and contribute to company culture initiatives
Qualifications:

Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED (required)
- 2 years of supervisory experience
- 4 years of relevant maintenance experience
Skills and Abilities:
- Operates forklifts and mobile carts
- Mechanically inclined with knowledge of electrical principles
- Comfortable working at elevated heights
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Able to work independently or within a team
Language Skills:
- Ability to read write and comprehend simple instructions and memos
- Capable of effectively presenting information in small group settings
Mathematical Skills:
- Ability to perform basic math functions: add subtract multiply divide
- Able to compute rates ratios percentages and interpret bar graphs
Reasoning Ability:
- Able to apply common sense understanding to execute written or oral instructions
- Can manage standardized problems with few variables
Physical Demands:
- Frequently required to walk use hands reach talk or hear
- Occasionally required to stand sit climb kneel crouch crawl and smell
- Must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds
- Vision requirements: close distance color and depth perception
Work Environment:
- Frequently exposed to high places and airborne particles
- Occasional exposure to humid conditions weather changes extreme heat and electrical hazards
