The Phlebotomy Manager has direct performance oversight of the phlebotomist working on-site at Simple Laboratories Physician Offices ensuring efficient blood collection processes staff training and compliance with healthcare regulations including performance management and providing feedback and coaching if needed to phlebotomists. This role requires traveling to various Chicagoland doctors office locations to support onsite team members and address any daily management or administrative phlebotomists needs such as vacation coverage or onboarding new team members.
Responsibilities: - Direct oversight of phlebotomists including serving as the initial point of contact for office phlebotomist questions or escalations.
- Monitor and ensure coverage in all locations including stepping in if need.
- Train new and existing team members to ensure compliance and standards are met.
- Manage teams performance to ensure a high standard of patient care and safety is demonstrated including leading coaching and feedback as needed.
- Addresspatientcomplaintsandconcerns if any with phlebotomist.
- Ensuring team members provide a positive experience during blood collection procedure by providing comfort and safety throughout process.
- Ensuring non-blood collections are performed timely and professionally within standard phlebotomy guidelines.
- Foster an engaged and professional team providing support and collaboration including identifying ways to improve.
- Other phlebotomy duties as assigned.
Qualifications: - High schooldiploma or equivalent.
- Certificationsinphlebotomyorhealthcaremanagement.
- Minimum 4 years experience inphlebotomy.
- Minimum 3 yearsinasupervisoryorleadershiprole.
- Strongleadershipandcommunicationskills including conflict resolution.
- Proficiencyinphlebotomytechniques.
- Thoroughunderstandingofhealthcare compliance regulations and safetyprotocols.
- Valid drivers license and proof of insurance.
