Your role and responsibilities

As Finance Coordinator in the Business Finance Performance Digital and Communications team youll play a key role in supporting the financial and business operations that underpin commissioning and service delivery in Public Health and Communities.

On a typical day you will:

  • Manage financial and administrative systems ensuring compliance and data security.
  • Monitor budgets process invoices and purchase orders and support financial reporting.
  • Liaise with internal and external contacts including senior managers and suppliers.
  • Provide guidance on policies and procedures including basic training and task support.
  • Prioritise workloads support projects and identify opportunities for service improvement.
  • Respond to financial queries and escalate issues where needed.
  • Support budget reviews audits and management decisions with accurate data.
  • Coordinate mailbox activity for purchase orders and invoices ensuring timely processing.
  • Assist with transferring financial data between internal systems.
  • Contribute to service improvements and project support through research and planning.

You will need

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook).
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Organisational skills discretion with data and a flexible proactive approach.
