Job Summary
The HSE Systems Manager works closely with managers and employees to manage the Health Safety and Environmental (HSE) systems to ensure compliance across all divisions and departments with state and federal laws and regulations. The HSE Systems Manager is responsible for the development implementation assessment and review of a comprehensive HSE plan and the delivery of initiatives that improve safety outcomes in the workplace.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Works with ethics honesty values and integrity. Provides a position of professionalism to others.
Manages all electronic Department of Transportation (DOT) compliance systems such as Telogis Samba and Sterling.
Ensures all records located within DOT and Safety sections of the Companys Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software are accurate up-to-date and complete.
Maintains HSE metrics and data management systems and fulfills reporting requirements.
Stays up-to-date with legislative changes reviewing and improving policies and procedures as required.
Completes annual safety audits and coordinates annual third-party audits.
Develops and maintains monthly training requirements within the Companys online training software.
Maintains Company clearinghouse and sub-contractor compliance database.
Collaborates with third-party safety programs to develop HSE policies and plans.
Completes and distributes monthly HSE reports and presentations that provide employees with work place injury statistics new initiatives and system changes.
Acts as a liaison with compliance authorities including but not limited to: TCEQ EPA UCR USDOT PHMSA and state Departments of Transportation.
Submits filing information for permits disposal forms deleterious permits overweight tolerance permits and weight distance permits.
Completes all safety and equipment related trainings required on a monthly basis.
Any other duty responsibility or task as assigned by the supervisor.
