Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to join the team. The Physical Therapist will provide high-quality care to patients of all ages in response to physician referrals following the laws and regulations of the State of New Mexico.
The role involves evaluating and treating patients to improve mobility motor function muscle strength sensation balance wound healing and overall functional independence. The therapist will also provide education to patients and families coordinate with interdisciplinary teams and recommend additional referrals as needed.
This position offers the opportunity to participate in quality improvement educational programs and the continued development of therapy services.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate plan and implement individualized physical therapy treatment programs.
- Provide direct patient care focused on mobility function and quality of life improvement.
- Collaborate with physicians nurses and other healthcare professionals for comprehensive care.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans exercises and recovery expectations.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation in compliance with hospital and state standards.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Masters or Doctorate-level program in Physical Therapy.
- Current or eligible licensure with the New Mexico State Physical Therapy Board.
- BLS certification required prior to employment.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience preferred; new graduates are welcome to apply.
