Job Summary

Duties:

Prepares patient for EEG exam applies electrodes to patients head operates and maintains appropriate equipment identifies tracing prepares records.

Skills:

One (1) year of EEG Technologist experience.

Education:

High school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a States Department of Education or a recognized accrediting organization AND - One (1) year of experience as an Electroencephalograph Technician in a hospital or health care setting.
OR -Satisfactory equivalent combination of education training and experience where Certificate of Completion from the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET) recognized training program.
OR -Graduate from Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) accredited program may be substituted for one (1) year of experience as described in #1 above.

Required Certifications & Licensure:

Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA).
