Job Summary
Overview
Operates ultrasound scanning equipment to produce records of designated portions of the human anatomy of adult and geriatric patients.
Qualifications
- Certified or eligible for certification by:
American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
OR
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Sonography (ARRT) (S).
OR
Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
- All sonographers must obtain certification within twenty-four months of eligibility or cross training.)
- Certified in Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or obtain within 90 days of employment
Continuing Education-Sonographers must be in compliance with the ARDMS ARDMS ARRT or CCI requirements for continuing education appropriate to their practices
- Graduate from an accredited school of Ultrasound Technology
- Prior experience in ultrasound
- Registered Cardiovascular Technologist with two (2) years cardiac related experience
- Registered Vascular Technologist with two (2) years vascular related experience
Work Hours:
7:30am-4:30pm
