Job Summary
Technical Officer/Senior Technical Assistant in Biobank Core of the Centre for PanorOmic Sciences (CPOS) (Ref.: 533365) (to commence as soon as possible on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme totalling up to 10% of basic salary with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Centre for PanorOmic Sciences (CPOS) is an academic research-support centre embracing multi-omics and big data biomedical research under the LKS Faculty of Medicine. The Role
- Support core services for sample processing and equipment maintenance
- Support data management in the Biobank Core using LIMS
- Liaise with users to coordinate service logistics
Qualifications and Qualities
- Bachelors degree or above in Biomedical Sciences Biological Sciences Biochemistry Biotechnology or a related discipline
- Strong passion for science and technologies
- Self-motivated responsible conscientious meticulous; and enjoy teamwork
- Good command of spoken and written Chinese and English
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
- Prior experience in processing clinical samples would be an advantage
- Proficiency in using microtome and cryostat for FFPE and frozen tissue sectioning and embedding would be an advantage
- Candidates with higher qualifications or more experience may be considered for appointment as Technical Officer
