Role Overview:
The Highway Maintenance Unit Supervisor you will be responsible for supervising various highway specialty areas (e.g. bridge heavy equipment maintenance facilities etc.). You will be responsible for managing staff and participating in preventive maintenance and/or maintenance repair work of roads bridges traffic markings heavy equipment buildings grounds etc. You will offer direction to maintenance/facility staff for standard day-to-day operations including prioritization of work assignments and making recommendations to work techniques.
Location:
This position is located in INDOTs Gary Sub District.
CDL Positions:
Candidates with a current CDL and endorsements required by the district will earn an additional $1 per hour. Candidates without a CDL will be given 90 days to obtain their CDL and endorsements required by the district and will then earn an additional $1 per hour. CDL training provided onsite by certified INDOT staff.
Salary:
This position traditionally starts at an annual salary of $53222.00. Salary for this position may be commensurate with education and job experience.
